Wow @TeamYouTube just shut down our @theh3podcast live stream and gave us a strike for talking about Alex Jones??... What.

That is censorship, and censorship for no good reason. Alex Jones and his fake news and conspiracies and hate speech needed to be censored, but discussing him is important and not the same thing as being him. Do better

There’s a difference between censorship and removing someone from a private platform for hate speech

He was not removed from YT for hate speech. He was removed from circumventing a strike on his channel and violated the ToS. He had received a 90 ban for uploading. He started to use other channels for uploading. YT banned for that.

You say circumvention as if it was done against a "legal entity." When in fact Big Tech are all corporations funded by tax breaks, even all the way to Silicon Valley. Don't give the ToS argument and not expect the repercussions an editorial board is expected to face for this..

Another thing. The law states that YouTube is legally permitted to do this. If YouTube wanted to, or any private forum like FaceBook, Twitter, etc, can legally pass a rule that only left handed people can post. Legally permitted to discriminate if a site wants to.

The reverse is true. Any site is legally permitted to not 'police' their sight at all. So it's the choice of the site on the path they want to take. that's the law.

This part of the freedoms that US citizens have, not American here. Alex Jones has not been censored. Can still post his message/content on the internet. Just can't do it on the sites where he has been banned.
