    One time I tweeted "When I said I hated people with food blogs, I didn't mean you" on the exact same day my friend Zach and his girlfriend Erin premiered their new food blog. 100% coincidence. I just thought it was a funny thing to tweet.

    Self-pity is considered one of the more repellant emotions, and I've realized that it is the defining aspect of my character. So much so that if you remove self-pity, you barely have a person left. I'm just fragments of a personality coalesced around a core of self-pity. 😜🐴🦂🎼

    I don't understand this statement at all but it makes me want to peer review a paper with this sentence as its thesis.

    Anyway, I didn't need legal help then - thank fucking christ I wasn't caught up in this nations literal hell of a carceral system - and I'm fine now. It's just moving that sometimes people you would never think to ask just step up. /fin

    It reminds me of the time I instagrammed a... troubling image. I got a lot of genuine concern. But what stood out was the unasked-for offer of legal help from an old high school friend who's a lawyer now. I was shocked they would, without knowing the details, offer their aid 3/

    Anyway, this is VERY MUCH NOT a request for help. I'm ok. It's just a tough month. And it's incredible, sometimes, to find these people in your life who haven't forgotten you, and don't think of your difficulty as something abstract. 2/

    I was bitching about my poverty on here last night, and this morning I woke up to an offer from a friend of my older brother - a family friend, I guess - offering to venmo me a few bucks. It's kind of incredible, sometimes to just get an unexpected, genuine, offer of help. 1/

    I happened to follow the links on a thread I retweeted and found a local reporter in Lincoln, Nebraska doing excellent work. People like are necessary for democracy to function at the state and local level. Thank you for your work.

    My car headlights just stopped working and I was trying to save money for a friend's crowdfunding campaign and now I'm seriously trying to figure out what to eat until the 10th when my food assistance kicks in. Poverty is fucking awful.

    Wow... Amazon somehow "accidentally" switched my billing for prime video from monthly to yearly. Which in nice, in that it will save me money in the long-term. Much less nice in that I DIDN'T HAVE $119 PLUS OVERDRAFT FEES LYING AROUND! Cue panic attack !!!
