@TeamYouTube we have a serious problem that needs to addressed ASAP... this is damaging many creators. UMG and other music network companies are abusing the copyright claim system. They will claim any song found in a video even if it falls under ‘Fair Use’.

If we file a dispute, the music company is the one who reviews the claim and decides who gets the revenue. This is were the problem is. It’s like letting a baby decide who gets candy

...which should split the revenue between me and the music company, cuz I’m copying the lyrics but not the actual production, but no.. they decide that they should get all the revenue because it’s their choice. Therefor I’m not making any money on any of those videos..
