This is not what initially was reported, they are now in CYA mode cause they know cops must identify themselves before shooting. And ofcourse this cant be disproven cause only witness is dead. Why did she not immediately report that if it actually happened.

Authorities claim? That's not what the article says. It's her claim. Her story makes less sense with new details.
She fails to notice:
1) Floor & Apartment Number
2) Different Color Rug
3) Fails to turn on the lights upon entering the apt?
It doesn't add up.
Nah. Hopefully someone had the presence of mind to draw a blood sample form her and check for alcohol and other substances. How could she not figure out that she was in someone else's apartment? EVen if they have the same layout, furniture would be different.
I'm wondering. Is it true that his door was unlocked? Maybe she saw an opportunity? Not saying that is the deal, but something is just hinky here. Even with the same floor plan I would have recognized the furniture was not mine...
So what. He probably issued verbal commands at her too since she broke into his home.
