I had a Youtube account since around their beginning. Never had a warning or strike or any problems, and I never talked politics. There was a new internet rule coming into play that Google and others were against and wanted that new rule stopped, which involved a lot of politics.

Under some Youtube videos talking about how their channel didn't support this new internet rule, I posted some comments under their videos in 'support' of new internet rule. And within hours I got a message from Youtube that I was permanently banned from Youtube. No reason given.

I don't watch much Youtube videos anymore as I don't have a feed. Also I can't buy Youtube's subscription service or do Superchats without being able to have a Youtube account. It seems like a dumb business move Youtube is doing banning accounts who have opinions they don't like.

What was the email you got when your channel was terminated?

@TheReconJacob: I don't exactly remember as it was a long time ago. But it was just a basic message that my account has been permanently suspended for violating the rules. Then they provide a generic link to their rules. I've asked them several times what was it I said that I1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

was being suspended for. And they never respond back. It's what has been going on for a while now that people are getting permanently banned on Youtube who don't share progressive viewpoints on issues.

That's scary. My channel was terminated as well. And I'm actually grateful I got it back even though it shouldn't have gotten terminated in the first place, because I actually did break a rule that was worthy of one strike, I just got terminated instantly instead of getting one.

But in the end, the only reason I got it back was because the company the reported one of my videos felt bad and didn't actually want my channel taken down, and they appealed on my behalf. My own appeal was never actually responded to. And then my channel got reinstated.

The funny thing is that I never got an email saying my channel was reinstated, my channel was just back up without any sort of notification. I just searched for my channel and noticed everything was back.

I have no idea who all was involved in having my channel permanently suspended. There were a lot of people panicking that a new Government internet rule would lead to the end of the internet, etc. And so I guess people saw a post I did in support of the new rule and reported me.
