This got my attention: "In December 2017 Google announced its intention to increase to 10,000 the number of employees tasked with removing extremist content from YouTube" Explains a lot of recent deplatforminghttps://www.hoover.org/research/what-be-done-safeguarding-democratic-governance-age-network-platforms …

It's worse than that as
@Youtube@TeamYouTube was also instantly banning accounts who made comments in vids supporting conservative policy. Accounts that weren't even putting up videos, but just watching/commenting. How does Youtube plan to sell subscriptions to banned people?1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

conservative position, etc. And within probably 12 hours of leaving those comments, I got a message from Youtube that I was permanently banned for violating their "rules". I asked for an example of what they were banning me over, but they never would provide anything.

I can't even buy a Youtube subscription. So, I don't see how Youtube plans to make money if they are permanently banning customers who don't support liberal positions that then bans them from ever getting a Youtube subscription.

Because of the Youtube ban, I'll probably end up deleting my Google account. As I only really used it because of Youtube. Also I won't be buying any Google products. I think Google needs to be broken up. Banning people because of politics is going to cost them a lot of money.
