    I wrote a blog post about frontend and why it should be a top priority for service teams. "Web performance can mean the difference in someone being able to get what they need from government or abandoning their task completely."

    Made some very minor changes to my site that should make a big impact in terms of energy usage. Had some fairly subtle animation on the clouds. Even offloaded to the GPU it was causing my MacBook Pros fans to go into overdrive. Added bonus: less CSS to download!

    I've just run into a website that hijacks the copy / paste functionality in the browser and manipulates the clipboard to insert their URL into it: 'Read more at: ...' It's incredibly annoying. Clipboard watermarking... Glad it isn't a common practice.

    Looking for a definitive answer please: , , . Does Firefox OCSP check all certificate types by default? `security.OCSP.enabled: 1` seems to suggest it does.

    While on the subject of , has anyone had connection issues with them recently? I believe it may be because I enabled HTTP/3 support in FF. And their site(s) support it. Other sites have been loading slowly too because they use their CDN for scripts.

    If your site has a sticky nav, make sure you take the height into account and test what happens when anchoring to content on the page. Here's an example on where the nav sits over the content being linked to and you lose the context:

    Over on we recently added the Dataset type to our "statistical dataset" pages. We'll be gradually fleshing this out over time as more metadata becomes available, and expanding it to our other statistics document types.
