This is a great thread. What id like to know is how much of this type of legwork @CBHessick @larabazelon has done esp as they continue to support DAs like @GeorgeGascon @LADAOffice @chesaboudin @SFDAOffice??? My guess, none.https://twitter.com/AndrewMannix/status/1437080599144058889 …

I’m pretty sure the entire point of Professor
@CBHessick’s research and@larabazelon’s great book is to highlight the abuse of DA’s offices. So I really doubt they support them in the way you say.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

We were once like you- But if you step out of your privilege, talk a walk in the shoes of these communities, you’ll see the world isn’t as simple as many ideologues say. Just walk a day in the life of a POC in a bad neighborhood - it will change your perspective immediately.

What does any of that have to do with what I said? Not only that, but you have no clue who I am or what I’ve experienced, so it’s pretty bold of you to assume such when I’m simply saying that Professor Hessick and Ms. Bazelon *don’t* support prosecutors.

It’s a response to your tweet- what we “say” relates to the struggles of POC impacted by crime. When I say “walk a day” in the shoes of an immigrant in a high crime area, it’s a rejoinder to one who blindly follows critiques of policies without the practical or life experience.

That’s not a response to my tweet nor a generic rejoinder. That was a direct assumption that has nothing to do with my defense of the studies of two researchers. Don’t waste my time if you’re not going to be to the point and speaking in good faith.
