Mate I'm sorry to say but the true challenge coming from this change is the 4000 hours in the past 12 months. That's about 167 days worth of watch time from people watching your videos in a 1 year period. I'd honestly love to see anyone with 1000 subscribers who have that!
Hell over the period of a few months that I had resonably consistent content my channel gained heaps of attention, close to 11,000 views and 400 subscribers in about 3 months. Those 11,000 views equaled about 20 days of watch time. Obviously a long way off the 4000 minute minimum

Well, my videos average about 30 mins to an hour.
