I love YouTube and when the notification system was first introduced I was told it was a chance for subs to see "every video you upload" I supported or then. But why break this system too? Why let it be only a "if we think the video is good enough" system as well?

Just to clarify, if someone taps the bell > all notifications, then they do get a notification for every video upload! It's only the "occasional" notification setting that sends just some. Also, no matter your notification settings, all new uploads still show in the subs feed!

You do know notifications is referring to Push Notifications? I subscribe to hundreds of channels, I would rather not have 30 notifications within half of the day.

yes i do. Im talking about subfeed. Everyone you should sub to should show up in your subfeed so when you scroll down through it you can binge all the most interesting ones you see and give the youtubers a chance at more views.

Notifications are NOT the subfeed. Those are the alerts you see in the corner of YouTube and the push notifications you get on your phone for clicking the bell. People are confusing the two

That is what their tweet is referring to. Subfeed should be showing every upload

shit i misread that. But it's also not true. I have subs coming up to me every so often saying "oh shit i didn't know you uploaded at all these last few months" when i upload every day. They say we don't show up in their feed soooo youtube is probably not being very honest.

Because people confuse the defaulted Recommend tab on mobile with their subfeed, which is not the default, I'm sure of that. But it's pretty apparent YouTube don't want to do that so people watch longer on the platform

that's possible but it's not hard to see the difference. It clearly says Recommended o,o either way my point is the sub button should work and show every single person you sub to when they post a video and it just isn't doing that. I my self witnessed it.
