Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg Retweeted marlon c. manning

Ok, Internet. Time to learn the difference between concentration camps and death (“extermination”) camps. Germany started with concentration camps in 1933. Death camps started in 1941. Never again is now.https://twitter.com/marloncmanning/status/1139623221131730944 …

@TheRaDR Peace Be Unto U Rabbi. While I believe in a immigration referendum, and that camp conditions for migrant are not good. I wouldn't associate U.S. camps to Nazi camps. No mass killing going on, starvation etc...

THIS. Dachau was open for years and people can and did get in and out of it, so by the time others started popping up, the idea of the camps existing was pretty damned normalized.

And there were films made showing how comfortable and happy people were in concentration camps, almost like being at summer camp.

People also don't want to associate Japanese internment camps with concentration camps, and yet... Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

Thank you for posting this. So many people do not know the difference, and because of this they minimize today’s horrors.
