I have gone through the alleged twitter account of the Dayton, Ohio shooter. I can confirm that both parents and his sister are linked to that account, either directly or indirectly. It is an account with leftist/socialist ideology. That being said...
I do not believe this was a politically motivated shooting. There have been statements from former classmates that highlight a person who is extremely disturbed, and I know that someone like him would never be welcome in the leftist circles I have found community in.
Nobody I know, nobody I interact with, would ever shoot indiscriminately into a crowded bar, a place with people of color, queers, and family members. It’s not something we joke about and it’s not something any of us would ever tolerate.
Connor isn’t antifa, a leftist, or a socialist. His actions go completely against what we believe, what we fight for, and what we want in this world.
If you catch alleged comrades slipping like this, address it. Either help them, or, if they are too toxic to help, remove them from leftist networks. All we have is each other and we can’t afford to be poisoned from within.
