Exploring that ideas I’m sure a lot of people have had with popular Fairy Tales and translating them into the MTG design space. Giving everyone the “Oh I know this!” moment is nice but I can see how this could be seen as a rip-off in a sense.

Agreed. I definitely like the art and want some of the cards, but I’ve seen enough adapted fairy tales. I think it would have been more interesting to do the fairy tale theme without such overt references to the existing stories.

Agreed! Some of my least favorite cards from Theros were ones that were direct analogues to Greek Mythology. I just think it’s a little tacky.
