Striking: The chair of the Republican Attorneys General Association just resigned amid fallout from the group's vile robocall urging people to turn out on Jan 6 to "Stop the Steal." The Big Lie is getting so bad that even Republicans are running from it:https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/04/22/republicans-chris-carr-running-from-big-lie/ …

One of the slimiest GOP talking points of all is the idea that voting limits are needed to restore GOP voter "confidence" in elections. There's no *actual reason* to lack confidence. Yet Republicans are regularly allowed to skate with this nonsense: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/04/22/republicans-chris-carr-running-from-big-lie/ …pic.twitter.com/ku5xH9lElL

Call your congressional delegation and thank them for the current voting protocols that worked so well this last election. Vote by mail. YES!! But if you don’t thank them, other voices will be heard. Democracy, be it!

I’m not optimistic this will go any farther in Our Liberal Media than it is now.
-
That’s because it’s not liberal when conservative corporations sign the checks.

How can "news media" continue to overlook the core fact that Republicans KNOW what they're doing is bullshit? That the whole point is to circumvent free & fair elections because R's can't win elections otherwise. This is not some "both sides do it" because both sides don't.
-
The reason they can't is because GOP doesn't want
#democracy. GOP's largely succeeded in turning us into a#plutocracy already. GOP aims for#dictatorship/#kleptocracy/#oligarchy. Some even want#theocracy (Bill Barr). It's a#fascist party, doing fascist things. Via#propaganda. - Show replies

The Republicans are upset precisely because the election went smoothly.
-
They are outraged because they set out to steal the election and they failed to do so. Then they had to go through a really messy effort to violently overthrow the peaceful transition of power and even that failed. Poor guys.

And yet the media allows Republicans to frame the conversation as "necessary voting reforms" and a "both sides issue" instead of pushing back and calling them out on it....
