Hannity's spectacular meltdown at Mitt Romney over his demand to hear from Bolton shows how central disinformation is to the Cult of Trump. We're at the point where asking for facts outside the Trump disinfo bubble constitutes "Trump hatred." I believe you make this point elsewhere, but it needs to be repeated The GOP refusal to let Bolton testify under oath will allow them to dismiss Bolton's claims as just a guy writing a book, he said/he said as they have done with numerous other tell-allshttps://twitter.com/ThePlumLineGS/status/1222562337992912896?s=20 …

By refusing to let Bolton testify, the GOP not only hopes to keep the information out of the trial, but hopes to keep these revelations FOREVER at the level of an unknowable he said/he said and take advantage of the media's bias toward "balance"https://twitter.com/XLProfessor/status/1222564550274441219?s=20 …

Also, the GOP senators arguing that Bolton should share his recollections now--on TV, on a podcast, in an op-ed--miss (intentionally?) the importance of Bolton being under oath. If Bolton went public now without being under oath, it'd be easier for the GOP to call him a liar.

This is the conclusion of GOP logic - the president has the approval, should he feel the need, to investigate *anyone*, any single person, his political rival, whatever. Conflict of interest, doesn’t matter. Going against congress/behind congress’ back, doesn’t matter.

Furthermore, he can get around the fact that it would be a bad look sicking the FBI/DOJ on someone by enlisting anyone he wants and extorting anyone he wants, however he wants. Wow.

Did you all forget this ? Remember, if Mitch ( in explicit coordination with the White House ) doesn't have the votes to get what he wants, he doesn't have to call a votepic.twitter.com/g8JLOdgSXi

Depending on the witnesses, voting **for** witnesses can be part of the coverup too Calling Biden is a coverup In an extortion trial, the victim isn't judged at all, the extortion plot is Trying to turn an extortion trial into a trial of the **victim** is a coverup
-
And frankly, if they know in advance Bolton is going to dance around the truth, calling him is a coverup too Remember, the White House already admitted they are coordinating the witness process with the Senate Did you all forget that ??

If the senators vote for no witnesses, they are part of the cover-up and participating in obstruction of justice. They are criminals when they vote to obstruct justice. They need to be removed from government.
