Big picture take on this is that Dems have no good answer to the racial politics being played by the GOP. They will continue to run from this issue, alienate a key constituency, and lose on this issue. The first step is to stop running, turn, and face it head on.

Important point on education from missed by pundits looking at Biden-Youngkin voters. Education was the number one issue for this group and dismissing it as purely CRT-driven is a fatal error.

  11. Who are these "Biden-Youngkin voters"? Mostly male, white, independent, and college educated. But some erosion among nonwhites as well. The analysis suggests that these voters aren't part of any Trump-driven realignment:

  14. You'd think this is a minimal and reasonable ask from from Rep. Jayapal. Yet numerous press accounts are presenting the progressive response to Manchin as nothing but bitter fury and intransigence, while ignoring what progressives are actually saying right now:

Nearly dead folks mostly recover. Unless someone decides to womp them in the head to kill 'em off. Of course, sometimes, like with the nearly dead prince at Swamp Castle, you don't want them to recover, so it's all a question of perspective.

What Rep Jayapal suggested to Manchin today: “Tell me what is not consistent with what you committed to before, and let’s take those pieces out and vote on a bill that has the rest of it.” Asked if Ds should back a stripped down BBB at 10 years: "I'm not quite there yet."
