Wow... an incredible amount of strawman responses. I will need to do a live stream on this one. Deal with the claim that is being made people.

Starving children = horrible and unnecessary. Climate change = potential extinction event for millions of species and civilisational threat. Civilisational threat = also kills children today and in future generations. Therefore, climate change > starving children. Happy to help.

Finally someone dealing with the actual claim. But can we not prioritize and rally resources now to stop the starvation in its tracks? I didn't claim that we should stop addressing climate change, but if given a choice with limited resources would you not save the child first?

you have to be kinda deaf, dumb & blind not to realize that one facilitates the other. We don't live in bubbles, stop behaving like we do. Everything is connected.

So you were asleep during the whole "Band Aid" and "We are the World" era? You never heard of UNICEF or Save the Children? You think there is no action on poverty or famine?

While I completely agree starving children is a wrong that should not exist in this world, I'd like to think making sure that while we feed the children, that they're also not on fire or underwater, would also be fairly critical.
