It's amazing how wrong this 10-year-old article is! Eg wind and solar now much cheaper than nukes.

That's like saying "I never want to eat again" after being stuffed from a huge meal... but you're dead serious about it to the point where you block legislation that would keep you fed.

The future will show that the green movements complete refusal to discuss wide spread adoption of nuclear energy will deliver more harm than anything they were ever protesting. If i didnt have children I'd sit back and laugh.

Is the "green movement" (whatever that means) considered to be anti-nuclear?

I don't think the 'green movement' is in lock-step on this one. Many environmentally conscious people SUPPORT nuclear, at least in the short to medium term.

Ahhh. Theres the magic word. "Conscious". Nathan used the word "uninformed" i think its more a case of willful ignorance guided by an idiological commitment

I actually pretty much agree with that. People don't like inconvenient facts that conflict with their worldview, so they tend to tune them out and look for 'facts' that ARE consistent. I learned that if science conflicts with your worldview, the latter is probably the issue.
