Personally I'd like someone to catapult my rotting corpse into my employer's corporate headquarters after it has sat out decomposing in the hot sun for a bit. That would be the best retirement gift ever.

of course they are, because they're true patriots who understand that the meaning of life is to create value for their employers and then die quickly.
-
It's the American way!!! Work hard, spend quickly and die even faster! Don't forget to pass on that debt, keep your employers fed please.
-
Temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

You guys act like having a job is a bad thing. Those dastardly people who employee people who need a job! They're clearly jerks. They should be nice guys and fire them.
-
That's not what I'm saying at all. There are employers that actually work with their employees and care and then there are mega Corp employers that only see their employees as cogs and demand hard grueling work for a pat on the back like a dog and in conjunction with the Gov.
-
Force a life ideology of "Working hard pays off" when we know that isn't true. The rich members of my family got there from higher education and good investments in stock. Has nothing to do with working hard but being smart and money aware.

Half of the fortune 500 inherited their wealth. And they depended on massive state support, such as tariffs, other governments around the world suppressing labour rights, intellectual property law creating legal rights out of thin air, cheap transportation, etc.
-
If riches came about as a result of hard work, then we should see people like jackhammer operators paid huge sums of money. The richest among us get wealth by having connections to other wealthy people & being able to promise to supporters riches in turn in return for loyalty

I recently crunched the numbers. I'm 42 now My wife figures I can retire 3-4 years after I've died, but no sooner.
-
upon further math I have to be killed instantly with no hospital or ambulance and definitely not in an at fault accident... otherwise, have to put off retirement for another 7 years.
