Make 'em pay for NIH research that is often key to developing new drugs. Pharma spends more on advertising than research. The real research is paid for by us. We should pay less, not more than other countries.

Irony is that they keep trying to cut the NIH budget while giving breaks to these companies that spend less than a quarter of their money on R&D.

If science got tiny roylaties on basic research used in medicine and a gadgets we wouldn't have to beg for money. I'm imagine if particle physics got a royalty the electron or even such a minor matter as the web. Or biology got one on DNA.
