People in the comments getting upset because Alzheimer's has personally affected them but laugh every time the Onion posts something about police brutality, school shootings, ICE agents, etc. Mmmmkay.

Well, sure. Those things are funny because they affect other people. It gets a lot harder if it affects the viewer! It took weeks for The Onion to cover 9/11, and they only posted 'Subtember 11th' once most readers directly impacted had aged out of their 25-34 target demographic.

I didn’t find anything funny about watching my dad succumb to this recently, way to make fun of a horrible disease
-
same. doesn’t feel like a joke when your own family member doesn’t recognize you anymore.

couldn’t agree more!

Yeah...not funny. It's a horrible and tragic disease. Would this video be funny if it was about breast cancer, colon cancer, or HIV? I think not...
-
Awwwwwww poor baby
-
Real mature. Spoken like somebody who's never lost a loved one to said disease.

My husband was diagnosed last year. It’s not funny. It’s a nightmare.

My condolences.
