The jacked up part is there is nothing stopping them from doing it. These outlets help themselves to content on Black Twitter and they don’t have to pay folks.
Do yourself a favor and Google your Twitter handle. You would be shocked to see how many outlets have used your tweets for their articles without you knowing it.

I hate this so much. The only time I ever find out it’s happened is when angry mobs show up in my mentions for some reason.
