Title doesn't match the article. Title claims "this is what it's like to be autistic and queer", then largely just regurgitates already-well-known facts about people on the spectrum (LGBT or not), while badly describing what a couple of people with both labels have experienced.

Then it just shoots the entire headline to hell at the end of the article by pointing out, and rightly so, that everyone on the autism spectrum is different. So it claims to describe what it's like to be autistic and queer, then concludes that such an endeavor isn't possible. K.

There's so much more potential in such an article than what's there. It could have covered the abuses faced by people on the autism spectrum for being LGBTQ+, by going over how the lack of social boundaries can lead to autistics outing themselves when they shouldn't. It doesn't.

18 years ago, I suffered no end of harassment from my classmates in high school, as being a socially naïve teenager on the autism spectrum, I just *had* to tell my classmates - in Tennessee, no less - about how I'm not straight. Where are *those* experiences in this article?
