I phoned up the hotline for the health insurance provided by my workplace. And given my improved Swedish, I was able to tell that the voice system was telling me that if I don't have an acute emergency, I should consider contacting a doctor via their site. So I did.

I filled out a pretty extensive questionnaire that asked me things one at a time. Things like: How long has your issue occurred? What is the nature of your issue? Does your issue increase if you press the affected area? Is it affecting your sleep? That sort of stuff.

Lengthy, but hey; a doctor is going to review this stuff, so it's better the doctor be informed. An hour later, I received an e-mail from an actual doctor, more or less saying "Yep, sounds like you tweaked a muscle in your back, here's a prescription for a muscle relaxant."

Essentially, it's exactly what the result would have been if I had to traipse all the way to a doctor's office, except I didn't have to leave the comfort of my own home while having a fucked-up back. It didn't cost me anything, and the prescription only cost me about $12.
