What I mean is, like, I have an irrational distrust of purple/red grapes, despite them tasting identical to normal green grapes.

IMO it depends on what level of distrust is.

A level where I never actively choose to buy red/crimson grapes, because although they end up tasting great, every single one I secretly expect to taste wildly different and awful until the familiar grape taste hits.
