I believe here in Sweden we have legally-mandated vacation time above and beyond the standard national holidays. That is to say, if a company's employees are found to not be taking enough paid vacation time, the company itself could potentially be fined.

Yeah, I should’ve stated that this is a US problem for the most part. Europe and other places are AMAZING when it comes to vacay time.

I can definitely understand. I say "we", but I'm technically just a US expat with a permanent residence permit in Sweden on account of my amazing partner. :) Spent the first 8 years of my dev career in the US, one couldn't pay me enough to go back at this point.
