he won't remember and doesn't even know what a birthday is yet but the little dude will understand he's surrounded by all his favorite people and having a great time and that's worth something at least!! (he probably understands more than you suspect, too... babies are clever...)
I love my nephew-in-law dearly, but I have no idea how to act at his 1st birthday party. Hey little guy, sup, you can't understand English yet let alone Swedish, but congrats on not having died, I guess? Here, have this cake to smash and a gift to not comprehend.
