Dominick I truly appreciate your perspective.I do have one question. Rather than "special needs" you advocate the term "reasonable accommodations".Yet, I am sure that you appreciate the subjective nature of "reasonable".How do you propose addressing this subjectivity?

Neither can be. However, if one is arguing for an alternative, it would be good to define what your new alternative actually means. I am questioning, not defending or advocating.

Calling it special feeds into to the justification people feel in either begrudging or refusing to make those accommodations. Calling it what it is, reasonable, takes away a psychological prop.

I understand the rationale. What I don't know is how it will be determined what is "reasonable". My desire is not to replace one inadequate term with another for which there is no agreed upon definition. Are there universally agreed upon accommodations ?
