@telegram The recent changes to the emoji functionality on the desktop client are annoying, as whoever implemented them has forgotten that the ":P" emoticon tends to come at the end of sentences and should not, in fact, be pizza.
Specifically, if I type a sentence to someone and try to use the ":P" emoticon, I send a pizza emoji unless I explicitly do colon-P-escape-enter rather than just colon-P-enter, because the moment I type colon-P, Telegram now pops up the emoji list with the pizza emoji selected.
Granted, it just puts a pizza emoji into my send buffer, and doesn't insta-send, but it's still annoying to have to backspace over the errant emoji, then remember to hit escape after typing such a basic emoticon as :P.
