Anyone who thinks "mental health self-diagnosis" is bad has never tried to get formally diagnosed. Route A: "There's nothing wrong w/ you, you're just lazy" Route B: "You are a disgusting monster, here's a fake punitive diagnosis" Route C: "I diagnose all my patients w/ this"
Actually diagnosed as #ActuallyAutistic. Both agree and disagree. If self-diagnosis helps you help yourself, then nobody can deny the positive effects. But please understand, self-diagnosis carries literally zero weight when requesting a "reasonable accommodation" under the ADA.
