Let's talk about the way nondisabled people talk about disability... Without intending to, in many cases, nondisabled people can be patronizing, induce pity, act awe inspired (you're so inspirational/brave/courageous by existing as 'less than'), and disregard our thoughts.

Because of how we talk about disability as a society, many people who are newly disabled are afraid of being disabled. Disability is treated as something that is horrible, life ruining, will end your life, and you are considered better off dead. Many of us are living full lives

I think something is wrong with me, neurologically, I’m suffering & all the Drs think I’m an hysterical old woman. But...I’m still fighting to do what I want, everyday.
