I just got one of those bootleg Tamagotchi Connection units, too. Gotta love how the reset button isn't recessed at all, and does exactly what it says on the tin. If it's the same make, the instructions will be just as useless as the ones that came with mine! :D

Oh man, it *is* a bootleg! I just looked closer at the package - there's no Bandai/Namco branding on it whatsoever! You're right!
