Thanks man, yeah it's something we've been meaning to do for a while now. :) And that's great to hear from a MAME dev - we studied many arcade games whilst designing Xeno Crisis, including Out Zone, Smash TV, Mercs etc, so thanks to you and the MAME team too!

Cheers, I don't think a day goes by when I don't look at a screenshot or watch a longplay that was recorded on MAME. ;) It certainly had a massive impact on me as a designer / programmer, and its meant that we have some kind of chance of preserving those games we grew up with. :)

Believe me, we're still working on preserving those games you grew up with, just not necessarily the coin-op ones. Feel free to have a peek through my earlier tweets to see about all the LCD handhelds we're trying to preserve now. :-)

Our dumping guy, Sean Riddle, has a pretty great setup for not only taking high-quality pictures of the LCD segments (which are then vectorized), but the front/back artwork as well. :D As for Grandstand Scramble, if we ever get our hands on one, it shall be dumped!

Ha ha, well I would send you mine but I imagine the shipping costs to Sweden would be prohibitive!
