Are majority-Muslim areas really that big of a deal? What separates them from e.g. Chinatown, or other demographic-heavy areas? Not for nothing, but I couldn't throw a rock in downtown Stockholm without hitting a Muslim-owned shop, and that's OK. I like having nearby ethnic food.

I understand why you considered that to be the context of the joke. I set it up poorly. Its actually more tongue and cheek to the current situation we have going on here in certain neighborhoods around Chicago. We are having a rash of shootings taking place with assault rifles.
