One thing I didn't see mentioned in the video: By laying out all of the parts in advance, you inherently have a better memory of where they are when it comes time to grab them.

I do it for other things but not lego. I don't really believe in lego sets - I don't like the implication that you can fail at playing. lego is for buckets :-)
