Question for any parents: Is 5 years old a reasonable age to start trying to teach a kid to cover their mouth when they cough? Especially when they've clearly been sick, based on how 'wet' my nephew-in-law's coughs were sounding?

If I had a fever, I'd take a cold bath. Hospitals are for life & death situations only. Bastards charge you $300 for an ambulance, even if you don;t take it, then another $300 to walk through the door & fill out paperwork.
Sorry to be snarky, but, good news in that case: hospitals here in Sweden don't put people into life-long debt for having the temerity to get sick.
