Are tiger handheld games now emulated? If so, will the talking ones ever be considered? Loved them as a kid, being blind they were basically almost fully playable audio games for me.https://twitter.com/frankcifaldi/status/944584521256640513 …

Last but not least, if you have any input at all on anything we might be able to do to make MAME more approachable to people using assistive technologies, please don't hesitate to reach out and let me know!
Thanks so much. Use to use Mame32 with the front end interface that had different categories in a tree view and games listed in a list view. Had a menu bar at the top etc. Read well with screen readers for selecting games, haven't played mame in a few years though.
Really want to get back to it however. Loved playing beat em ups like punisher, ninja turtles and whatever else I could get my hands on. Do you know if Batman Forever the arcade game has sound yet? Also, is there a list of the tiger handhelds that have sound?
Hi Jay! They all have sound to an extent, but in terms of which ones I have speech, I'd have to do some digging. Is it entirely the latter that you'd like to know more about, or would a general list of support Tiger Electronics handhelds suffice?
That is so incredible that they are finally being emulated! I use to have a decent amount, ninja gaiden, double dragon 2, castlevania 2, bo jackson baseball/football, pinball, bowling, GameTalk line which was Baseball allstars, Snakes revenge and Ninja Gaiden 2.
For a lot of non talking games, each thing you did had a different pitched beep. For example in double dragon 2, when you hit an enemy there was a high beep and when you got hit a low beep. Use to just memorize what was what and had fun imagining what was happening.
Here is a link to a list of most of the handheld games supported in MAME, excluding the ones in the T M S 1000 driver, as the majoriy in that driver usually have some level of interactivity that I'm guessing would not be of interest to you: https://pastebin.com/raw/4G4mYeqP
Here is baseball all stars. Looking back, pretty incredible how much speech was included, all I had to do was memorize the pitch beep rhythms. Even the menus such as substituting players spoke along with batting/pitching info.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhR1qF4nRhM …
