@LarryBundyJr I wonder if a "talentless, unfunny Brit with too much time on his hands" (your words, not mine!) has any interest in LCD game preservation, given your focus on gaming history. ;-)
Well it's funny you should say that - I've been a developer on MAME for about 15 years or so, and in roughly the past year, our emulation of exactly those sorts of handhelds has gotten rather good!

Really? I saw someone had done some great ones on the Game and Watch games, but I always assumed they were recreations made in flash, rather than actual emulation.

If you're referring to the MADrigal project, that's correct, it uses recreations based on observation. In MAME, the LCD games are based entirely off of dumps obtained largely through boiling the relevant ICs in fuming nitric acid. Which is pretty metal, actually! :-D
