1. Choose something to wrap. Today, we're wrapping a boxed Commodore Datasette, as it's roughly gift-sized. 2. Place the box with the middle-size axis slightly more than ½ the small axis's length away from the end of one side of the wrapping paper.pic.twitter.com/5nQSqcGYwM

3. See? About ½ the small axis's length. 4. Wrap one end of the paper around to the top. 5. Place a small piece of tape in the center to hold the paper in place. This will be on the inside of the wrap. Don't use too much tape, you only need about 2cm.pic.twitter.com/UYru1bGdQP

6. Wrap fully around the 4 sides with the largest surface area. Give yourself some leeway, as we'll be cutting off the excess. 7. Cut the wrapping paper to size, once again leaving a bit more than ½ the small axis's length on the other side as well.pic.twitter.com/uS0mEj1NuX

8. Cut any excess and make sure there is no skew to the paper. Try to align to a repeating pattern as best you can, but unless the pattern repeats proportional to 2x the sum of the largest edges of the box, it won't happen, so don't worry too much.pic.twitter.com/76rdyb9FE5
