Let's learn how to wrap presents in a decent way! This series of tweets is dedicated to @druid249, because I said I would take pictures the next time I wrapped something.

6. Wrap fully around the 4 sides with the largest surface area. Give yourself some leeway, as we'll be cutting off the excess. 7. Cut the wrapping paper to size, once again leaving a bit more than ½ the small axis's length on the other side as well.pic.twitter.com/uS0mEj1NuX

8. Cut any excess and make sure there is no skew to the paper. Try to align to a repeating pattern as best you can, but unless the pattern repeats proportional to 2x the sum of the largest edges of the box, it won't happen, so don't worry too much.pic.twitter.com/76rdyb9FE5

8 (cont'd). Tape in place, again with a small 2cm piece of tape. 9. Gently fold the paper down on one of the exposed ends, along the middle-sized axis of the box, and tape in place. 10. Do the same for the opposite flap as well, again taping in place.pic.twitter.com/vOlfZwiXUX

11. Before folding them in, crease the edges of the two small triangles, for a tighter fit. 12. Once again, tape them in place, still using a small amount of tape. 13. Seriously, just a small amount! Less is more.pic.twitter.com/O86kw4Sjvo

17. Give yourself a thumbs-up. You just made a pretty darn decent-looking wrapped box! With practice, it'll take less than 10 minutes per box. Now go and get some egg nog.pic.twitter.com/x6LnfUNNmi
