Huh: http://digg.com/2017/curvature-blindness-illusion … I've always been lousy at calculus, but it occurs to me that if you integrate Y across the shaded sections, one of them has sections with a total delta-Y of 0, the other has sections with a total delta-Y of -1 or +1.
Right? It's so cool! The weirdest thing to me is that the illusion still works perfectly when zoomed in.
