That is, the F2P/P2W mechanics were most likely forced on them. Remember hoping that Activision wouldn't release yet another plastic guitar with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock? So did those of us who worked on it. :)

It's "not performing the way we'd like it to". So it wasn't meant to be noticed by players.
