Having played through the first six levels of Cuphead so far, I don't think it's the punishing, hard-as-nails platformer people say it is.
From there, it was a week and a half before I beat the entire game. From there I played the other five Mega Man games. Again, on a real NES.

Since realizing I had built-in auto-fire, it has been a relative walk in the park. I don't know what changed, but people have got soft, man.

Screed about the game's difficulty aside, it's an amazing game and 100% worth 20 Euro.

Basically, I wish people would fawn over the game because of the audio/visual masterpiece it is, not because it's "hard". It has auto-fire.

Those who grew up with the NES, we didn't *have* autofire. Autofire was a thing that you bought a shitty 3rd-party controller for.
