Me and my wife have always been quite close in terms of income (actually she tends to make a little more). The best way to be really.
My partner is not yet financially independent, but I'm hoping to help him get to that point. He's a leather handcrafter.

I'm trying to encourage him to more tenaciously pursue his own independent work outside the workshop, which I feel underpays him.

Personally, I'm happy to be able to provide for my partner, but consider the flip side, the stress of having to provide for multiple people.
