So I'm planning on buying Clarke's 2001/2010/2061/3001, and Crichton's Jurassic Park. Any other book suggestions, while I'm at it? Anyone?

Asimov's Foundation Trilogy if you don't have it
I tried to get into it way back when I was a middle schooler (age 10-13 roughly). Couldn't get into it, but I think I started mid-series.

What's the first book in it? Because I love Asimov's work e.g. I, Robot, and all the laws of robotics, just never got into Foundation.

I'm assuming it's because I approached it stupidly when I was young and didn't have the benefit of the Internet to tell me the chronology.

It took me quite a while to get through book 1. It's a lot of setup, but book 2 and draw you in much more

Sounds like a lot of webcomics I've read. Boring for the first 40-50 episodes, but amazing once they hit the groove.
