You're totally right! But it doesn't make sense to be utterly isolationist while still participating. Something having cake and eating it.

Very true, but at the same time I don't think it's entirely the UK being isolationist, the EU parliament isn't playing nice either :(

Yep, it's a terrible situation all around. UK is an asset to the EU, and it would be a shame to leave, but they have legit complaints.
