i hear there's this like tool and api thing combined that does a lot of the work for you called forge :)
Since it'd be a mod just for myself, I'm not sure there's anything WRONG with that, but I'm trying to avoid Forge on principle.

I mean, Forge is great, if some gauze against a sucking gunshot wound to the chest is great, but it's not my cup of tea...

Indeed, MCP is not updated for 1.11. Now we might be able to circle back on why I asked for advice related to 1.11 and up.
