The other day, I tweeted in response to a conservative blog's comment on here, saying that I disagree with how my fellow people on the left

are reacting to the Trump presidency. I support everyone's right to protest. In a way, it's what the country was founded on. Having said

that, I disagree with *any* looting or rioting. Peoples' memories are short: Tea Party protesters were trashing cars back in 2009. However,

I don't find "they do it, too" to be a good justification. In turn, my tweet (which was more succinct than this) has been RT'd and liked by

a handful of conservative Twitter users. I've looked at their accounts, and do you know what I see? People who love their country. People

with families, people with a mortgage, and a dog. The same fundamental *human* *beings* that I see on the left. I don't see monsters.

I see this, and I wonder about the message sent by my fellow liberals. Demonizing people is not progressive. Yelling at them and saying that

they're awful people will only make these people more entrenched in views held not so much out of malice, but out of a lack of having been
