Seriously, they've done "lol random" humor since the late 70's with the classic "Airplane!". Ain't nothing new under the sun. It's great. :D

Even earlier than that. I'm having a brain fart for titles, but the sixties had a few as well
Still, though - AbFab, The Young Ones, The League of Gentlemen, Blackadder... they knew what they were doing.

Oh yeah, that's my point. It's only in the past 10-15 years there've been similar shows e.g. It's Always Sunny, and Workaholics.
