@TheMogMiner Are the models going to use VBOs? I would guess that performance has been so bad because MC uses immediate mode rendering.

@eekysam I have a branch which uses VBOs and it gets a 20% speed boost or so, but it's not in mainline yet. So no, not yet, but eventually.
